The FT11X8 is an ON-Q Disposable Fluid Tunneler and Sheath*. This is a specialized surgical tool used to create a subcutaneous tunnel for the placement of an ON-Q* pain management catheter.

Key Features
Fluid Injection Capability: The tunneler features a hollow lumen and a side-port connector. This allows the surgeon to perform hydro-dissection—injecting saline or local anesthetic while advancing the tool—to gently separate tissue layers and create a smoother path.
Integrated Sheath System: It comes with two T-Peel introducer sheaths. Once the tunneler has created the track, the tunneler is removed, the catheter is threaded through the sheath, and the sheath is then "peeled" away, leaving the catheter in the precise desired location.
Blunt Tip Design: Engineered to navigate through tissue planes with a reduced risk of puncturing blood vessels or damaging nerves compared to sharp introducers.
Ergonomic Control: Includes a large, textured handle that provides a secure grip for the clinician, allowing for steady and controlled advancement through the subcutaneous space.
