Description
The Avanos ACC02 is a specialized ON-Q T-Peel Introducer Needle*. This component is designed to facilitate the percutaneous insertion and precise placement of pain management catheters (such as Soaker* or SilverSoaker* models) into a surgical site or near a nerve.
The "T-Peel" design refers to the plastic sheath's ability to be pulled apart and removed once the catheter is in position, leaving only the catheter indwelling.

Key Features
Deep Access: At 6 inches, the ACC02 is significantly longer than the standard 3.25-inch needle (ACC01). This makes it the preferred choice for deeper anatomical targets or for "tunneling" a catheter several inches away from the incision site to minimize the risk of infection.
Atraumatic T-Peel Mechanism: After the catheter is threaded through the needle, the metal stylet is removed, and the plastic sheath is "peeled" away by pulling on the dual tabs. This allows for a clean removal without disturbing the catheter's placement.
High Visibility: The needle and sheath are designed to be visible under medical imaging, ensuring that the clinician can verify the depth and trajectory during placement.
Universal Compatibility: While specifically designed for the ON-Q* ecosystem, its 17G diameter is compatible with standard 19G or 20G catheters.
