Description
The Avanos ACC03 is a specialized ON-Q T-Peel Introducer Needle*, the longest standard variant available in this product line. It is designed to facilitate the percutaneous insertion and precise placement of pain management catheters, such as the Soaker* or SilverSoaker* models.
The "T-Peel" design features a plastic sheath that can be split and peeled away once the catheter is in position, leaving only the flexible catheter indwelling in the patient.

Maximum Reach: At 8 inches, the ACC03 is specifically intended for procedures requiring the deepest anatomical access or for use in patients with significant soft tissue depth (high-BMI patients).
Extended Tunneling: This length is ideal for "tunneling," a technique where the catheter exit site is moved a significant distance away from the surgical incision. This helps minimize the risk of infection and prevents medication from leaking into the primary wound site.
Atraumatic T-Peel Mechanism: After the catheter is threaded through the needle, the metal stylet is withdrawn, and the plastic sheath is "peeled" away by pulling on the dual tabs. This allows the introducer to be removed without disturbing or displacing the catheter.
High Visibility: Both the needle and sheath are designed to be visible under medical imaging (X-ray or fluoroscopy), ensuring that the clinician can accurately monitor depth and trajectory.
