Tray Contents

Since this tray is "drug-free," it omits the Lidocaine ampule but includes all other necessary procedural items:

  • Skin Prep: 2 ChloraPrep® One-Step Applicators (Orange Tint).

    • 1 Packet of Sterile Gel.

  • Syringes & Needles:

    • 1 x 5 mL Luer Lock Syringe.

    • 1 x 25 GA x 1.5 in. Skin Injection Needle.

    • 1 x 18 GA x 1.5 in. Draw-up Needle.

  • Securement: * 1 LockIT Plus® Catheter Securement Device.

    • 1 Benzoin vial (to help securement stick).

  • Miscellaneous: 24 in. Extension Set, 8 Gauze Pads (4x4), and a Towel.

Key Features

  • Superficial Precision: The 50 mm needle is specifically designed for shallow blocks where a longer needle would be awkward or unsafe.

  • Standardized Workflow: Preferred by hospitals that have their own standardized medication protocols and do not want the extra cost or waste of pre-packaged Lidocaine in the tray.

  • Dual Confirmation: Even at shallow depths, the clinician can use both ultrasound and nerve stimulation to ensure the catheter is placed accurately within the fascial plane.
