Description
The Avanos PS25005-A is a high-capacity ON-Q Pain Relief System* featuring Dual SILVERSOAKER Antimicrobial Catheters*. This elastomeric pump is specifically designed for procedures where a massive coverage area is required, providing continuous, non-narcotic pain relief for up to 5 days.
The key differentiator for the PS25005-A is its extra-long 10-inch infusion segments, which provide the largest total coverage area available in the ON-Q* lineup.

Key Features
Maximum 10-Inch Soakers: Each of the two catheters features a 10-inch infusion segment. Combined, they provide 20 inches of total coverage, making this kit the "gold standard" for the longest surgical incisions or most extensive surgical fields.
Dual-Site Versatility: This system allows for the simultaneous treatment of two independent, very long incisions or two large distinct regions (e.g., bilateral procedures with long incisions).
Antimicrobial Protection: The SilverSoaker* technology utilizes a silver coating on the catheter surface to inhibit bacterial growth, significantly reducing the risk of infection during the multi-day recovery period.
Continuous Infiltration: Utilizing "Soaker" hollow-fiber technology, the local anesthetic is distributed evenly along the entire 10-inch length of each catheter, ensuring no "gaps" in pain relief.
Patient-Ready Design: The pump is mechanical and requires no batteries or programming. Patients can be discharged home with the system and maintain mobility while receiving continuous therapy.
Primary Uses
The PS25005-A is reserved for major surgeries requiring the most extensive coverage possible, such as:
Extensive Spinal Surgery: Multi-level fusions or scoliosis repairs requiring a single long incision or two parallel incisions.
Major Abdominal Reconstruction: Extensive ventral hernia repairs or "tummy tuck" (abdominoplasty) procedures where a wide field of infiltration is needed.
Bilateral Large-Incision Procedures: Bilateral orthopedic trauma repairs or bilateral breast reconstructions with long surgical sites.
Thoracic Surgery: For long thoracotomy incisions or extensive chest wall procedures.
