Description
The Avanos PS25008-A is the highest-capacity ON-Q Pain Relief System* kit, featuring Dual SILVERSOAKER Antimicrobial Catheters*. This elastomeric system is designed for procedures requiring the absolute maximum coverage area and medication volume, providing continuous, non-narcotic pain relief for up to 5 days.
The PS25008-A is a dual-site configuration that combines the largest available reservoir (400 mL) with the longest available infusion segments (10 inches each).

Key Features
Massive 20-Inch Combined Coverage: With two 10-inch catheters, this kit provides up to 20 inches of uniform medication delivery. This is the most extensive coverage available in the ON-Q* product line.
Antimicrobial Protection: The SilverSoaker* technology utilizes a silver coating to inhibit bacterial growth on the catheter surface, a vital safety feature for devices that remain indwelling for up to 5 days.
Maximum Duration: The 400 mL reservoir combined with a 4 mL/hr flow rate provides approximately 100 hours (4.1 days) of continuous therapy.
Dual-Site Flexibility: The system can treat two independent, very long incisions or be used to "cross-cover" a broad surgical field (e.g., placing catheters on both sides of a major abdominal reconstruction).
Hollow-Fiber "Soaker" Technology: Ensures the local anesthetic is distributed evenly along the entire 10-inch segment of each catheter, preventing "hot spots" or areas of inadequate pain control.
Primary Uses
The PS25008-A is typically reserved for the most extensive surgical procedures, including:
Extensive Spinal Deformity Surgery: Scoliosis repairs or multi-level fusions requiring very long incisions or parallel catheter placement.
Major Abdominal Wall Reconstruction: Extensive ventral hernia repairs or "component separation" procedures.
Large-Scale Plastic Surgery: High-volume wound infiltration for procedures like circumferential body lifts or extensive abdominoplasties.
Bilateral Large-Incision Procedures: Bilateral orthopedic trauma or bilateral thoracic surgeries where maximum coverage and volume are needed for both sites.
