The Avanos PSAF02 is a versatile model in the ON-Q Pain Relief System* that features the SELECT-A-FLOW* variable rate controller. This allows clinicians to adjust the medication flow rate manually, providing more flexibility than fixed-flow models like the PS6506.
Key Features
SELECT-A-FLOW Controller:* Equipped with a dial that allows the clinician to adjust the flow rate within a range of 1 to 7 mL per hour. This allows for "titrating" the dose based on the patient's specific pain level.
SOAKER Catheter Technology:* Includes a "soaker" catheter designed to distribute the local anesthetic evenly throughout the surgical site or along a nerve for uniform pain relief.
Non-Opioid Analgesia: Delivers local anesthetic directly to the source of pain, helping to significantly reduce the need for systemic narcotics and minimizing their side effects.
Elastomeric Pressure: Operates using a mechanical balloon-like reservoir; it requires no batteries, electricity, or electronic programming, making it completely silent and portable.
Locking Cover: The flow controller typically includes a removable key or locking mechanism to prevent unauthorized or accidental changes to the flow rate by the patient.
