Description
The Avanos PS25006-A is a high-capacity ON-Q Pain Relief System* featuring an extra-long SILVERSOAKER Antimicrobial Catheter*. This elastomeric system is designed for major surgical procedures where a single, very long incision requires continuous, non-narcotic pain management for several days.
The PS25006-A is distinguished by combining the largest reservoir volume (400 mL) with the longest available single-site infusion segment (10 inches).

Key Features
Maximum 10-Inch Soaker: This is one of the longest infusion segments available in the single-site configuration. It provides extensive coverage for very long surgical wounds, ensuring the local anesthetic is distributed evenly across the entire incision.
High Reservoir Capacity: With a 400 mL reservoir and a 5 mL/hr flow rate, the system delivers approximately 80 hours (3.3 days) of continuous pain relief.
Antimicrobial Protection: The SilverSoaker* technology utilizes a silver coating on the catheter surface to inhibit bacterial growth, which is critical for reducing infection risks during multi-day indwelling use.
Uniform Infiltration: The "Soaker" hollow-fiber design ensures the medication exits the catheter consistently along the entire 10-inch segment, rather than just flowing out of the tip.
Patient Mobility: As an elastomeric (balloon) pump, it is purely mechanical and requires no batteries or electronics. This allows patients to maintain mobility and be discharged home while the therapy continues.
Primary Uses
The PS25006-A is typically selected for major surgeries involving very long single incisions, such as:
Extensive Spinal Surgery: Long-incision procedures like scoliosis correction or multi-level spinal fusions.
Major Abdominal Reconstruction: Extensive ventral hernia repairs or full-length laparotomy incisions.
Thoracic Surgery: Long thoracotomy incisions where a large area of the chest wall requires infiltration.
Plastic Surgery: Extensive abdominoplasties (tummy tucks) where a single 10-inch catheter can cover the horizontal width of the surgical site.
