Description
The Avanos PM018-A is an ON-Q Fixed Flow Pump Kit* that includes Dual SILVERSOAKER Antimicrobial Catheters*. This is an elastomeric, non-narcotic pain relief system designed to automatically and continuously deliver local anesthetic to two separate surgical sites or a large wound area for up to 3–5 days.
The "PM" designation indicates its use in post-surgical pain management, and the kit is specifically configured for dual-site delivery (two infusion sites).

Key Features
Dual-Site Relief: Engineered for procedures involving two separate surgical incisions or a large surgical area that requires medication delivery at two distinct points.
Antimicrobial Protection: The SilverSoaker* catheter features a specialized silver coating that reduces the risk of infection at the catheter site during extended multi-day use.
Uniform Distribution: The "Soaker" technology uses a hollow-fiber design to ensure the local anesthetic is distributed evenly across the entire 2.5-inch infusion segment of each catheter.
Non-Electronic Infusion: The elastomeric pump is purely mechanical, requiring no batteries or electronics. This makes the system lightweight and easy for patients to manage during home recovery.
Primary Uses
This 400 mL / 4 mL/hr dual-site kit is commonly utilized for:
Bilateral Procedures: Such as bilateral breast surgery, bilateral hernia repairs, or bilateral orthopedic procedures.
Large Incisions: Where two catheters are necessary to cover the span of a single long wound (e.g., extensive abdominal surgeries).
Surgical Site + Nerve Block: Providing a combination of local infiltration at the wound and a peripheral nerve block.
