Description
The ACC08S is an ON-Q Tunneler Introducer Sheath* manufactured by Avanos Medical. This sterile, single-use surgical accessory is designed to facilitate the accurate placement of catheters for the ON-Q* Pain Relief System.
The "S" suffix indicates that the sheath is Sterile, while the model number identifies its specific length and gauge.
Key Features
T-Peel (Peel-Away) Design: The sheath is engineered to be split or "peeled" apart longitudinally once the catheter has been inserted. This allows the clinician to remove the introducer without disturbing the position of the catheter.
Optimal Guidance: It provides a smooth, low-friction conduit through a subcutaneous tunnel, ensuring the catheter reaches the intended surgical or nerve site without picking up tissue debris or encountering resistance.
Integration: Designed to be used in conjunction with a matching stainless steel tunneler. The sheath is slid over the tunneler during the creation of the path and remains in the tissue after the tunneler is withdrawn.
Sterile Protection: Provided in individual sterile pouches to maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures.
