Description
The PMG-ADVANCED is the high-performance control console for Avanos’ radiofrequency (RF) ablation systems. Unlike standard generators, the "Advanced" model is specifically engineered to power COOLIEF Cooled RF* technology. It allows clinicians to perform large-volume, spherical lesioning for chronic pain in the back, knee, and hip by circulating water through the probes to manage tip temperature.
Key Features
Multi-Modality Platform: Supports Cooled RF, Standard RF (Mono/Bipolar), Pulsed RF, and specialized TransDiscal* procedures for discogenic pain.
4-Channel Independent Control: Features four separate ports, allowing for the simultaneous treatment of multiple nerves (e.g., three genicular nerves in a knee procedure) with independent start/stop times.
Cooled RF Capability: Works in tandem with the Quad Pump to circulate sterile water through probes. This prevents tissue charring at the tip, allowing for higher energy delivery and the creation of larger, more predictable lesions.
Large Touchscreen Interface: A high-resolution color LCD provides real-time data on temperature, impedance, and power for all four channels, using intuitive countdown timers for procedure management.
True-TX Safety System:* Advanced software that ramps power safely and monitors for impedance spikes, ensuring the lesion is created consistently across different tissue densities.

System Components
The PMG-ADVANCED is the "brain" of a larger system. To perform a procedure, the following components are typically utilized:
Core Hardware:
(1) PMG-ADVANCED Generator (Console)
(1) Quad Pump (The cooling pump module that sits on the side of the console)
(4) Therapy Cables (Connecting the generator to the probes)
Procedure Disposables (Per Patient):
COOLIEF Cooled RF Probes* (17 GA, available in 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, or 150 mm)
CRA-TBK Tubing Kit (Closed-loop circulation tubing for the pump)
Fluid Delivery Introducers (FDI) (Needles used to guide the probes to the nerve)
