Description
The Practi-Valve CPR Training Valve is a disposable, one-way valve designed specifically for hygienic use during CPR and first aid training classes. sold in a bag of 50
Its primary function is to prevent cross-contamination between students. When attached to a CPR training mask, the valve allows the student's rescue breaths to enter the manikin but blocks any air, moisture, or simulated contaminants from traveling back from the manikin to the student.
Key Features
Hygienic Barrier: The one-way valve design allows air to flow from the student into the manikin but prevents the backflow of air and contaminants, ensuring a sanitary training experience.
Standard Connection: It is built with a standard 15mm/22mm connector, which allows it to fit virtually all standard CPR training masks and bag-valve-masks (BVMs).
Disposable: The valves are designed for single-student use during a training session and are meant to be discarded afterward to maintain strict hygiene protocols.
Latex-Free: They are manufactured without natural rubber latex to prevent allergic reactions among students.
How They Are Used
The primary use for these valves is in a CPR or first aid training classroom setting. The process is as follows:
An instructor provides a sanitized CPR training mask and a new, clean Practi-Valve to each student.
The student inserts the valve into the port on the CPR mask.
The mask is then placed over the mouth and nose of a CPR manikin.
The student practices delivering rescue breaths through the valve, which allows their air to enter the manikin's lungs.
After the practice session is complete, the student disposes of the used valve. The mask is then collected to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before being used in a future class with a new valve.
