The 16 Fr, 15 cm GJ tube is typically used for pediatric or smaller adult patients. It is clinically indicated for those who cannot tolerate gastric feeding due to impaired gastric motility, gastric outlet obstruction, or severe gastroesophageal reflux (GERD).
The 15 cm jejunal length ensures that the feeding tip bypasses the stomach and rests in the early part of the small intestine, significantly reducing the risk of aspiration.
