Description
Two-part system: The Deluxe Floor Sitter consists of two main components: the Feeder Seat Positioner and a Floor Sitter Wedge.
Postural Support: The seat has a contoured interior with a 90∘ seat-to-back angle, which provides posturally correct seating. The sides of the seat are curved forward to prevent scapular and shoulder retraction and provide lateral support to the head, trunk, thighs, and hips.
Secure Positioning: The system includes an integral abductor to maintain proper hip alignment, as well as a 45∘ hip positioning strap and a quick-release H-belt to keep the user safely and securely in place. The shoulder harness also has slots that allow for 4 inches of vertical adjustment to accommodate different heights.
Adjustability: The Feeder Seat can be placed on the Floor Sitter Wedge in either an upright or a reclined position, depending on the activity. A hook-and-loop system (Velcro) holds the seat securely in place and allows for quick and easy adjustments.
Durability and Hygiene: The seamless covering is made from a non-toxic, anti-microbial material that is washable, odor, urine, and stain-resistant. This makes it easy to clean and maintain, suitable for both home and clinical environments.
Lightweight and Portable: The unit is lightweight, making it easy to move and transport for use in various locations.
Sizing: The large size is designed for children up to 60 inches in height.
The Tumble Forms 2 Deluxe Floor Sitter is a versatile tool for providing secure and comfortable positioning for individuals with special needs. Its primary uses include:
Feeding: Originally developed as a feeder seat, it provides a stable and upright position for mealtimes.
Short-term Activities: It's an excellent solution for any short-term activity at home, in a clinic, or at school. This can include activities like reading, playing, watching TV, or resting.
Therapy and Rehabilitation: It can be used during various therapy sessions, such as one-on-one communication, speech therapy, jaw control exercises, and grasping and reaching exercises.
Alternative to a Wheelchair or Stander: The floor sitter provides a comfortable alternative to a wheelchair or stander for activities on the floor, allowing for peer interaction and engagement.
For Specific Conditions: It is particularly beneficial for individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, or developmental delays who require assistance with proper sitting balance, head control, and trunk stabilization.
