Maximum Jejunal Flow: The 24 Fr lumen is the widest available for a direct J-button. This is critical for patients requiring high-calorie, viscous formulas or those who have had persistent clogging issues with smaller 18 Fr or 20 Fr tubes.
Intestinal Safety Balloon: Even though the tube diameter is large, the balloon is limited to a 3–5 ml fill. This prevents "balloon-induced" bowel obstruction, as the small intestine is significantly narrower and less distensible than the stomach.
Low-Profile Design: Sits flush against the skin. For large-bore access, the "button" style is highly preferred over long tubes because it reduces the mechanical stress and "tugging" on the sensitive jejunal stoma site.
Anti-Reflux Valve: A built-in valve in the hub prevents the leakage of intestinal fluids when the extension set is disconnected.
