Probe Compatibility: Engineered for side-deployment through 10-gauge (10G) EnCorâ„¢ vacuum-assisted breast biopsy probes.
Marker Shape & Material: Features a radiopaque Ribbon profile made of biocompatible Titanium for clear differentiation across multiple biopsy sites.
Migration Control: Utilizes three polyglycolic acid (PGA) microfiber absorbent pads surrounding the central marker. The pads hydrate and expand upon fluid contact to anchor the marker and minimize displacement.
Multi-Modality Visualization:
Ultrasound: PGA pads deliver acoustic enhancement for approximately 3 weeks; interwoven polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymer provides permanent long-term ultrasound visibility.
Mammography: Titanium ribbon offers radiopaque visualization under 2D and 3D imaging.
MRI: MR Conditional with minimal artifact distortion.
Resorption Profile: The PGA microfiber pads naturally resorb in roughly 12 weeks, leaving the inert titanium marker and PVA polymer permanently in place.
